About the Role
As a Sales Engineer – Technical Support, you will act as the primary technical liaison between clients and SF Marketing Inc., providing pre-sales and post-sales support, training, and troubleshooting for audiovisual equipment. You will deliver customer-focused solutions, assist with installation, and provide guidance on product usage to maximize value for clients.
Responsibilities
Assess client needs and recommend appropriate AV products or services
Develop proposals and reports to illustrate product benefits
Deliver technical sales presentations to clients
Provide ongoing consultation and support after sales
Train client staff in operation and maintenance of AV equipment
Troubleshoot equipment and resolve service-related issues
Assist with on-site installation and ensure smooth operation during events
Keep up-to-date with product innovations, competitors, and market trends
Operate audiovisual equipment and provide professional customer service
Read blueprints to determine system dimensions, material requirements, and specifications
- Work Hours: 34 hours per week also Work Language: Bilingual (English & French)
Requirements
Education: Trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience in Recording Arts, Music Technology, or AV Communications
Experience: 3–5 years in AV technical support, sales engineering, or related fields
Skills:
Proficient in Salesforce, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to provide client-focused technical guidance
Personal Suitability: Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, team player, client-focused
Other:
Valid passport and driver’s license
Willingness to travel as required
