About the Role

The Claims Paralegal provides essential support to the Project Management team, assisting with project execution, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring accurate, high-quality deliverables. This role demands strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Professional fluency in English and French is mandatory for effective communication with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support claims management and processing, including reviewing and resolving inquiries and process issues.

  • Provide legal support as needed.

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, including organizing meetings, tracking deadlines, and preparing client updates.

  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Claims Operations and other cross-functional teams.

  • Conduct data review and analysis to support accurate reporting.

  • Maintain organized project documentation.

  • Contribute to quality assurance (QA) activities for high-quality deliverables.

  • Communicate professionally in English and French with clients and team members.

  • Uphold strong professional etiquette and attention to detail.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs.


Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field

  • Active paralegal license with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)

  • 3–5 years of experience in claims management or related roles

  • Professional fluency in English and French (oral and written)

  • Reside in Ontario, Canada

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Drafting and reviewing documents in both English and French

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Familiarity with project management tools

  • Experience using DocuSign

  • Ability to work from home

  • Willingness to work occasional overtime

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay equivalent to CAD $50,960 – $58,800 annually
