Position: Trainee Title Searcher

Team: Titles Team
Location: Hybrid – Home/Glasgow
Package: £25,000 + annual bonus scheme + benefits

Role Overview

This role is ideal for individuals looking to start or develop a career in property searches. As a Trainee Title Searcher, you’ll receive structured training and on-the-job support to build specialist skills in Scottish property title investigations, legal reporting, and remortgage searches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn property title searching techniques through structured training and practical experience.

  • Develop skills to review and analyse records in Registers of Scotland (ScotLIS) for Legal Reports and Remortgage Searches.

  • Support preparation of Legal Reports by researching property titles and ownership using internal and external databases.

  • Review Inhibition and Insolvency data for disclosure in reports.

  • Assist in preparing additional products such as Plans Reports, Company Searches, and Charges Reports.

  • Submit Plans Reports orders to Registers of Scotland and ensure accurate, timely completion.

  • Work closely with experienced colleagues to build knowledge and confidence in property title investigations.

  • Ensure all work is completed accurately, securely, and in line with company standards and service levels.

Requirements / Who You Are

  • Experience in an office or administrative environment.

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and learning new systems.

  • Previous customer service or conveyancing experience is beneficial.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.

  • Motivated to learn and develop specialist skills in property title searching.
