Position Details
Job Title: Dental Workplace Assessor (Part-Time)
Location: Wakefield, United Kingdom
Working Schedule: 3 days per week
Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 (pro rata)
Tempdent is seeking a motivated and experienced dental professional to join its team as a Dental Workplace Assessor. The successful candidate will support and guide learners in achieving their qualifications while helping to shape the next generation of dental professionals.
Role Responsibilities
As a Dental Workplace Assessor, your responsibilities will include:
Scheduling and conducting workplace assessments for learners enrolled in the Diploma in Dental Nursing programme within the required timeframe.
Maintaining effective communication with practice managers and learners.
Ensuring the accurate completion and submission of assessment documentation.
Providing constructive and supportive feedback to learners and practice managers.
Preparing and supporting learners for their End Point Assessment (EPA).
Conducting health and safety checks and monitoring equal opportunity practices in dental workplaces.
Planning and preparing thoroughly for each workplace assessment.
Keeping professional knowledge and skills up to date with dental industry standards and legislation, including maintaining GDC registration.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Level 3 Training or Assessing Qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
Qualified Dental Nurse with at least 2 years of professional experience.
Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Must be based in Wakefield to carry out workplace assessments.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Basic IT proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office.
Preferred (Desirable) Experience
Experience assessing Dental Diploma or Advanced Apprenticeship programmes.
Experience working in work-based learning or apprenticeship programmes.
